  1. My Grandfather and then my mother had a cottage a few miles from Dunwich. I holidayed there every year of my youth and many other times since. It is glorious but as you say a testament to the power of the ocean. You could never risk going close to the cliffs and there is one house that I’m sure has succumbed to the force of nature since I was last there. There is a legend that on certain days you can hear the bells from the drowned church. Never did hear them.
