To the cranes in France

This blog is back, after some days with few Internet access, but many beautiful impressions.

Wednesday 27 February we went to Giffaumont-Champaubert village at Lac du Der in France.

This lake is famous for cranes, gathering here at this time of the year for spring migration.

This video is about cranes at Lac du Der in early November 2011.

Our bus soon crossed the Belgian border.

We crossed the French border at 13:30.

Seven minutes later, a buzzard on a tree trunk.

In a tree, a kestrel.

A flock of rooks.

Partridges on a field.

Stay tuned. During the next days, on this blog, lots more stories, also photographs etc., about cranes and other birds in France.
