10 Commandments Award, thanks Alyssa!

I would like to thank Alyssa for nominating me for the Mrs Sparkly’s 10 Commandments Award. I am very honoured that she thought of me when she was making her nominations.

The rules of the award are that you must answer the following ten questions and nominate ten blogs that you think deserve the award.

1. Describe yourself in seven words.

Pro-peace, anti-injustice, bird-lover, newshound, pro-environment, pro-science, traveler.

(presumably, if you link two words with a hyphen, that counts as one word 🙂 ).

2. What keeps you up at night?

Sounds of cars passing.

3. Whom would you like to be?

President Obama of the USA. Then I would close Guantanamo Bay camp, as the real Obama has promised. And stop horrible wars like in Afghanistan, which, if one looks beyond the rhetoric, in practice just mean piles of dead bodies getting higher and higher, ruining the lives of civilian survivors and of military veterans, and wasting tax dollars which might have been used for peaceful purposes.

4. What are you wearing now?

Summer clothes (not as summery as I expected, as summer right now is colder than usually).

5. What scares you?

War.

6. What are the best and worst things about blogging?

There any so many good things about blogging … One of the good things is looking at My Stats, since my blog moved to WordPress last December, and seeing the national flags from all over the world in the stats, meaning that all sorts of people care and are interested.

The worst thing about blogging is that I sometimes keep doing it late at night, while I already should have been sleeping 🙂

7. What was the last website you looked at?

Truthout.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Improve my eyesight.

9. Slankets, yes no?

To be honest, I had to Google this … then I found this in Wikipedia. I don’t have personal experiences with them, so I am neutral 🙂

10. Tell us something about the person who nominated you.

I was nominated for this award by Alyssa and by reading her blog posts I have seen many fine photographs of flowers and other items from Arkansas in the USA where she lives, and I got to know about her interesting wide range of subjects.
