In the North Sea, west of Texel island in the Netherlands, as this video shows, a big conger eel has been caught by a fishing boat.
Ecomare museum on Texel reports that the fish was over 2 meter in length and 36 kilogram in weight.
Such big conger eels are rarely caught, as they often hide between rocks or in shipwrecks.
Newly-discovered eel species named after Pinoy diver: here.
