MEDIA: The former personal assistant for ex-News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks, Cheryl Carter, was arrested today by detectives investigating phone hacking at the News of the World.
Ms Carter, 47, was named by sources as the latest suspect to be questioned in Scotland Yard’s Operation Weeting.
She left News International in July after 19 years working for Ms Brooks.
