Eva Sajoo from Canada writes that the Conservative government in her country makes a lot of propaganda that foreign governments should respect human rights.
However, Ms Sajoo notes that in practice, Stephen Harper’s Tories do not mind human rights violations if the dictatorships committing them are business partners; eg, the absolute monarchy in Bahrain.
