London Wetland Centre birds

A ring-necked parakeet flying above the river Thames, calling.

A grey squirrel.

In the Thames, mallard and teal close to the bank.

A robin singing in a coniferous tree.

After we enter the Centre, first to one of its six hides, Dulverton hide.

Quite some little grebes.

Lapwings. Gadwall, wigeon and tufted ducks.

At the WWF hide: lesser black-backed and black-headed gulls. Rooks. A pied wagtail.

From the Peacock tower through a telescope, a rare jack snipe. A peregrine falcon flies around.

Near the bat house, a long-tailed tit.

From the Headly hide: male and female common pochards. A male shoveler resting on an islet.
