At the Muggenbult viewpoint, coots, mute swans, great cormorants, and a great crested grebe.
Later, an Egyptian goose joins them.

A great egret lands.
On thistle flowers, peacock and small tortoiseshell butterflies.
Later on a marsh south west of the Naardermeer: another great egret and six spoonbills.
In the Naardermeer itself, hundreds of northern lapwings.
A meadow not far away has been mown recently. This attracts a big flock of jackdaws and rooks.
