  1. Unions stand with vulnerable people

CZECH REPUBLIC: The Confederation of Bohemian and Moravian Trade Unions agreed a long-term co-operation pact with organisations representing vulnerable citizens on Monday to strengthen the struggle against neoliberal austerity measures.

The group’s president Jaroslav Zavadil said unions will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the 13 groups at a rally for social justice on October 22 in Prague.

“We have to send a clear message to the politicians who say: ‘Go to the polling stations once in four years and then stop bothering us.’ We will bother them,” Mr Zavadil said.
