Japanese anti-nuclear demonstration


This video is called Anger over Fukushima spills on streets in Tokyo anti-nuke protests.

Tens of thousands of people marched through central Tokyo on Saturday to press the government to ditch nuclear power in light of the Fukushima Dai-ichi disaster: here.

While TEPCO previously admitted that a meltdown had occurred in three of its Fukushima reactors, a government report said that a more serious “melt-through” might have occurred: here.

    TAIWAN: MPs approved £298 million today for the ongoing construction of a fourth nuclear power plant on the island.

    Since the earthquake triggered a nuclear disaster in Japan, President Ma Ying-jeou of the Kuomintang Party has said that he will continue Taiwan’s nuclear power programme, while main opposition presidential candidate Tsai Ing-wen has proposed to gradually eliminate the use of nuclear power.
