Baby elephants video

Adelle Havard writes about this video:

No feast is ever complete without something refreshing and cool to wash it down with. But it’s easy to forget that for animals and humans alike, even this simple skill of drinking has to be learnt in order to master.

We are used to seeing human baby’s progress from bottles to beakers to the use of a glass…but what about the other newborns of the natural world?

In this video from BBC Earth, we see the dry land of the Namib Desert bought back to life thanks to torrents of water from the distant mountains.

But with every blessing, comes a challenge. And for these elephant calves, it’s the use of their trunk that’s the biggest hurdle.
