  1. Cops charged over killing detainee

    Dubai: Thirteen police officers have been charged with beating a Pakistani prisoner so badly that he later died.

    The man was being held in an investigation into a kidnapping and murder case.

    The officers face charges of abuse of power, excessive use of force and torture. All have pleaded not guilty and were let out on bail.
