Yemen pro-democracy movement continues

Yemen‘s embattled US-backed president pledged to step down more than a year early but refused to immediately resign today, infuriating tens of thousands of demonstrators demanding that he leave office now.

The UN International Labour Organisation (ILO) urged senior Arab officials gathered in Geneva today to promote employment and social rights in order to ensure a more equitable future in their region.
