Oil-covered Bird Being Treated in Louisiana
Animal rescue operations are gearing up in Louisiana as the region deals with the impact of the oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico after an oil rig exploded and sank last week. (April 30).
On Friday, an oil slick caused by last week’s explosion and sinking of a British Petroleum oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico began washing ashore in Louisiana near the mouth of the Mississippi River, threatening catastrophic economic and environmental damage: here.
