Translated from a report by the Dutch Mammal Society:
Record number of harbour porpoises between Hoek van Holland and Harwich
Report issued by the Dutch Mammal Society on Saturday, April 24, 2010
In the weekend of April 17-18, between Hook of Holland and Harwich as many as 316 harbour porpoises were counted by volunteers of the Rugvin Foundation. That’s nearly four times as many as the number of harbour porpoises usually observed in one year. An absolute record number.
