First raven nest in Dutch nature reserve

In Oostvaardersplassen nature reserve in Flevoland province, the first area where sea eagles started breeding again in the Netherlands after an absence of centuries, for the first time ever this spring ravens are nesting.

Ravens became extinct in the Netherlands in the 1920s. They were re-introduced in 1969. In the whole country, about 90 couples are nesting now.
