German soldiers kill Afghan allies

Six Afghan soldiers have been killed by German troops who opened fire on them after mistaking them for Taliban fighters, an Afghan government official has said: here. And here. And here.

Germany’s defence minister has referred to military operations in Afghanistan as a war for the first time and has promised to investigate a friendly fire clash that left six Afghan soldiers dead: here.
