Bohemian waxwing in Czech art

The Madonna of Zbraslav is a Czech, Gothic 14th c. painting by an unknown artist.

The bird depicted in the child Jesus’ right hand is a Bohemian waxwing. So, the ring-necked parakeet was not the only bird associated with Jesus in medieval painting.
