Today, a snow goose in Wageningen, the Netherlands. One would expect it to be on the other side of the Atlantic.
Also today, near Nieuweschild on Texel island, at least fourteen pale-bellied brent geese in a flock of over 600 “normal” brent geese. Pale-bellied brent geese are also normally in North America.
This is a video of a pale-bellied brent goose on the Dutch coast, with a “normal” brent goose, a turnstone, and a few oystercatchers. The video is from 23 December 2009, Ter Heijde.
