From Dutch anti war group Ontwapen! [Disarm!]:
Early in the morning of Thursday 6 August 2009, some activists of Ontwapen! have occupied the control tower on the air force base Volkel (Noord-Brabant province) . Their banners indicate that they demand the immediate removal of the United States nuclear weapons which are at this military base.
Today, it is exactly 64 years ago that the first nuclear bomb fell, on the Japanese city Hiroshima. The horrible consequences of this crime can still be felt today.

August 6 and August 9 2009 mark the 64th anniversaries of the US
atomic-bomb attacks on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A
tiny group of US rulers met secretly in Washington and callously ordered
this indiscriminate annihilation of civilian populations. They gave no
explicit warnings. They rejected all alternatives, preferring to inflict
the most extreme human carnage possible. They ordered and had carried
out the two worst single terror acts in human history.
