Saturday, again to the Baillon’s crake spot.
Birdwatchers who had arrived earlier had seen the Baillon’s crakes. I did not, that day, however.
I did see the juvenile shelducks. And two stock doves coming for a drink.
Today, near a bridge, two adult great crested grebes with two very young chicks. One of the parents gave one of the chicks a fish, so small that even the youngster could swallow it.
