Yesterday, friends were in the Amsterdamse waterleidingduinen nature reserve near the west coast in the Netherlands.
They saw a kingfisher. Also many ducks, including tufted duck, pochard, shoveler, and goosander. Also, some dabchicks diving.
Some scores of fallow deer.
In a small canal, a big northern pike, standing almost still.
Just before departure, a fox showed itself on the parking lot.
