Birds and butterfly in France

This is a video of a black redstart nesting in a house.

Thursday 23 October was the first full day in Bourbévelle in eastern France.

In the morning, five great cormorants flying not far from the Saône river. A blue tit. A robin. A grey heron.

Two buzzards flying closely together. Two kestrels closely together.

Great tits in the orchard.

In the afternoon, five buzzards.

There are many black redstarts in this area, often sitting on fences.

A small copper butterfly; probably one of the last butterflies of this year as the days are getting colder.
