Cormorants and pochard

This Dutch video says about itself:

Lesser White-fronted Goose

Schiermonnikoog-Banckspolder, 14-2-2009. Adult male returning every year, this year with 5 hybrids Barnacle Goose X Lesser White-fronted Goose, to winter with his wife and young mainly in the Banckspolder at Schiermonnikoog. This bird was ringed in Lapland, Sweden in 1997. Scarce in the Netherlands.

Today is my last full day on Schiermonnikoog.

A walk to the Wadden coast. Many lesser black-backed gulls and shelducks.

From the hide, great crested grebes and mallards.

Scores of great cormorants hunting together for fish. Two black-headed gulls circle above them, hoping to get some of the catch.

Pochard

Two male pochards diving again and again.

Four pintails. Shovelers.

A little egret flies past. About thirty are resting in their usual trees.
