Purple herons and common terns

This is a purple heron video.

Today, by rowing boat on the Hilversum canal.

Before the arrival at the boathouse, an oystercatcher on a lawn.

Mallards, coots, and great crested grebes on the water.

Great cormorants flying overhead.

A great crested woodpecker flying from tree to tree on the canal bank.

A common tern passes.

As we arrive at Tromp island, a common sandpiper flies away. Egyptian geese have chicks.

On the island, a speckled wood butterfly.

The boat continues, to the Kortenhoefse plassen nature reserve.

Two purple herons.

Reed warblers singing from the banks.

Again, a common tern.
