Junta torturer returned to Argentina

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina: “Dirty war” suspect Ricardo Cavallo has arrived in Argentine after his extradition from Spain.

Cavallo arrived on a regular commercial flight at the Buenos Aires international airport Monday morning. Cavallo is a former navy commander who faces charges in connection with a crackdown on dissidents during Argentina’s 1976-83 military dictatorship. Thousands of people died or disappeared.
