Today, in the meadow east of the nature reserve, a farmer was mowing grass. The big mower was followed by two white storks and many herring gulls and lesser-black-backed gulls, profiting from the insects stirred by the mowing. Barn swallows also trying to catch insects, but from the air, not from the ground.
Nearby, an angler. In a bucket, five fish which he had caught. Of two species: roach and common dace.
On the castle pond, a moorhen. A great crested grebe nesting.
