Decline of the wheatear in the Netherlands


This is a video of a northern wheatear, on cliffs in Britain.

According to the Dutch bird researchers of SOVON, northern wheatears are declining in the Netherlands.

In 2005, they had only 250-300 breeding territories in the whole country.

This is a video of a female northern wheatear with a chick, in Stabrechtse heide nature reserve in the Netherlands.
