Poetry and music in the theater on 24 April

Raphael, Apollo and the Muses

Tonight, again, poetry, music, and more, at the theater.

Alex Akela sang blues, folk and Americana.

Singer Daisy Cools was sowewhat reminiscent of Jewel, Sheryl Crow or Jeff Buckley.

Poet Mart Brok and guitarist Harm Bos are both from Drenthe province, where some of the poems are about.

There were four people reading from their work from Leiden: storyteller Riekje Renes, and poets Pieter van Midden, Aad van der Kraan and Paul Delfgaauw (including a poem on refugees).

I read a column about famous painter Rembrandt.

And there was comedy by Martijn Loerakker, including a mock standard reply to Help wanted ads by businesses.
