SARAJEVO CANTON WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATIONS FIERCELY OBJECT THE CONCERT OF FASCIST MARKO PERKOVIC THOMPSON IN SARAJEVO
SARAJEVO, Bosnia – Coordinating Board of the Sarajevo Canton War Veterans Associations is fully supportive of marking the 10th anniversary of Pope Joan Paul’s visit to Bosnia, but is, however, fiercely objecting the concert of Marko Perkovic “Thompson”, announced at the occasion.
”The reason for our objection lies in the fact that a certain number of his songs is of a nationalistic and fascist content, and that some of his songs are encouraging hatred between the peoples and stay in the way of reconciliation and life in Bosnia”, the Coordinating Board of the Sarajevo Canton War Veterans Associations announced.
Marko Perkovic “Thompson” from Croatia has links to the Ustaše movement, allies of Adolf Hitler during World War II.
