Poetry slam in Utrecht

This video is called Scratch & Dent Dreams–Slam Poetry.

On 12 February, there was a poetry slam in Utrecht, in The Netherlands.

Ten poets participated; including from as far away as Eindhoven; also yours truly, with poems on a ladybug, seasons, and the Iraq war.

Overall winner was A.C.G. Vianen, an intense performer.

Second prize, according to the jury, and first according to the audience, was for Jurgen from Utrecht, performing as a poet for the first time ever (he had done so with music before).

His poems included one on racial discrimination against people like him (of African Caribbean ancestry).

Third prize was for Marein Baas, whose poems included one on Inuit.

On the way back home, I made some small changes in a few of my poems.
