Zwolle – During preparatory work for building the new Hasselterweg road in Zwolle, two specimens of the rare weatherfish (Misgurnus fossilis) were found.

Employees of the RAVON foundation (Reptiles, Amphibians, and Fish Research of The Netherlands) put the fish back in the water of the Bisschopswetering, on the opposite side. …

The RAVON people also found pikes, ten-spined sticklebacks, belicas, bleaks and roaches.
