Gulls, gulls, gulls, and one Egyptian goose

Black-headed gull in winter plumage

Yesterday, for the last time in 2006, in the nature reserve.

Many sounds of fireworks from the village around.

The meadow was wet because of the rain of the past days.

This had attracted hundreds of black-headed gulls (with white “winter heads”) to feed.

Also scores of starlings.

A hundred jackdaws flew past.

And one Egyptian goose.

Magpie goose in Australia: here.
