This is a beautiful addition to a long list of birds of prey nesting in Oostvaardersplassen, like buzzard, goshawk, kestrel, hen harrier, marsh harrier, and, recently, the impressive white-tailed eagle.

Sights of the hobby are still rare in the Oostvaardersplassen. During tours we see them sometimes. Other birds we see: bluethroats, eurasian spoonbills, white tailed eagle, bearded tits, hen harrier, marsh harrier, kingfisher and many more. So go to the Oostvaardersplassen. Go on your own or .hire a local bird guide

Hi Falco, thanks for reacting. I myself saw a white-tailed eagle here and many other birds, last August; see here. Also, this blog has mentioned the white-tailed eagles’ 2007 breeding season.
