This video about the Libyan war says about itself:

Civilians under NATO bombing – Bani Walid eyewitness

Translated column by well-known Dutch author Arnon Grunberg, in the paper edition of daily De Volkskrant today:

Values

Some dictators are our enemies; their rule is a reign of terror. We call other dictators friendly heads of states, with whom we can talk about human rights while having a cup of tea with them.

In 2007, Gadaffi put up his tent in an Italian hotel during a state visit. Everyone liked that. Not really long ago, the New York Times published an article by Gadaffi on its op-ed page, in which he made original peace proposals for the Middle East.

After the death of Gadaffi, Mr Rutte

prime minister in the Dutch minority Rightist coalition government which sent military planes to the Libyan war of NATO

speaks of the end of “a terrible reign”.

The nazis got their day in court in Nuremberg. Even Saddam got a trial, though the verdict had been decided in advance.

Meanwhile, the West embraces extra-judicial execution of its enemies. Which is another proof that our Western values are four in number: the Swiss franc, the English pound sterling, the US dollar and the euro.

Geneva – The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights called on Friday for an inquiry into the death of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi amid conflicting accounts of how the Libyan dictator met his end and video that appeared to show him alive after his capture: here.

After the alliance actively intervened in Libya’s internal affairs, while claiming to be “protecting civilians,” Muammar Gadaffi, along with an estimated 30,000 others, is finally dead: here.

Mass killings, arbitrary detention under new Libyan regime: here.

Namibia: Nujoma Condemns Gaddafi Killing

Toivo Ndjebela

26 October 2011

Windhoek — Last week’s foreign-sponsored killing of Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi must serve as a lesson to Africa that foreign aggressors are readying themselves to pounce on the continent.

So says the Founding Father of the Namibian nation, Dr Sam Nujoma, who is shocked and saddened by the killing of the Libyan leader. He said the enemy is on the prowl and would attack Africa anytime as long as the continent continues to be divided.

Nato delays decision to move out of Libya: here.
