Fly With Bird Stamps

The U.S. Post Office has released a new bird stamp – the tufted puffin is featured on the 86-cent stamp, good for first class postage up to three ounces. Robert Giusti of Bridgewater, Connecticut is the artist who created the design, which includes a pair of breeding plumage puffins sporting their namesake tufts.
The tufted puffin is a member of the Alcidae bird family, which includes all puffins and auks. While the Atlantic puffin is often more well-known, the tufted puffin is a popular seabird in its Pacific range. While you might be able to see these colorful birds on stamps now, learn where you can see wild puffins so you can add this bird to your life list!

I second George. We need those pretty beautiful, old fashioned stamps related to nature for conservation, the biodiversity story, and sheer eye candy. Nowadays you get this ugly sticker that only shows the value of the post-stamp. Back to the days of beauty in every single little corner of a letter!
