4 July.
After missing our bus from Hull docks to the railway station, a policeman was kind enough to bring us in a police car. He remarked that most police would not do that. A nice change from less kind police in Egypt, England, etc.
Upon arrival in Bempton village: swifts, barn swallows flying. A blackbird singing.
A collared dove on a TV antenna.
Then, along Cliff lane to the famous Bempton Cliffs bird reserve.
Starlings. Greenfinch sound. Whitethroats.
Ringlet butterflies.

Skylark singing. A yellowhammer singing from a bush.
Near the RSPB visitor centre, a goldfinch.
So, this is the end of this entry, mainly about land birds. Next one will be mainly about the seabirds of Bempton Cliffs.
