The Netherlands: rare seahorse on Texel island beach

From Ecomare in The Netherlands:

Last Sunday, a short-snouted seahorse was found on the beach near beach pole 15 on Texel island, and brought to Ecomare.

Seahorses are rare in the Dutch North Sea.

Two species occur here: common seahorse (Hippocampus ramulosus) and short-snouted seahorse (Hippocampus hippocampus).
